Miley Cyrus Has Released Her Highly-Anticipated Album ‘Used To Be Young,’ Which Highlights The Darkest Years of Her Life

Miley Cyrus released her 8th debut album “Used to Be Young” on 25th August. Needless to say, it’s an emotional rollercoaster ride and it’s currently streaming on Spotify.

Do you remember the Iconic VMA’s 2013 and Wrecking Ball music in 2013? Of course, you do. Today marks the 10th year since they were released and we still remember them like yesterday.

Miley Cyrus filmed the “Used To Be Young” music video in the same location where she filmed Wreaking Ball, 10 years after. Hence, the metaphor in the lyrics “Is the same shed but now it’s empty and clean” ( A pure mastermind indeed).

I feel like she finally welcomed adulthood and she’s paying tribute to the growth and the lessons she got. She says in a press conference “This song is about honoring who we’ve been, loving who we are, and celebrating who we will become”.

In her song, Cyrus mentioned what hit home like “It’s not worth crying about the things you can’t erase”. I understand where she is coming from. She just hit 30 and regrets the things she did and said.

“I know I used to be fun. You say I used to be wild. I say I used to be young”, one of the lyrics of her I am swooning over. Weren’t we all loud, wild, and made mistakes? Mistakes that we regret and are ashamed of?
